Volatile essential oils act as harsh organic solvents. On healthy skin, they feel tingling; on raw gi burn, micro-tears, or open mat rash, they strip vital lipids, disrupt your acidic pH mantle, and frequently trigger allergic contact dermatitis. Mil Usos replaces volatile essential oils with targeted, non-stripping antimicrobials like Monolaurin, Polylysine, and Glyceryl Undecylenate to defend against pathogens without destroying your skin barrier.
Harsh sterilizers (like Triclosan or Benzalkonium Chloride) indiscriminately wipe out your beneficial skin flora and collapse your acid mantle, leaving you more vulnerable to infections over time. We use selective, lipid-based antimicrobials: Glyceryl Laurate (Monolaurin) disrupts Gram-positive bacterial cell walls, while Glyceryl Undecylenate targets fungal spore membrane synthesis. We avoid heavy mineral oils, petroleum, and high-pore-clogging butters.
