How to Use

Char Goals is designed to be the only cleansing product you need for your entire body.

For hair: Rub the bar directly against the scalp - it will quickly produce a robust lather. Once you create the lather you need, distribute and detangle with your fingertips.

For face and body: Apply directly to skin or use a wash cloth for deeper cleansing and makeup removal.

Your skin knows how to defend itself. But essential oil soaps wash away your skin's natural acid mantle and disintegrate the skin barrier, leaving skin defenseless.

Healthy skin is slightly acidic, which naturally protects your skin from invading bacteria and fungus. Traditional soap sits at a very high pH, which demolishes your skin's protective acid mantle. We chose pH-balanced cleansers and activated charcoal that deep clean while leaving your skin's natural defenses intact. Mystery rashes, redness, pimples, and irritation will clear up naturally after switching to Char Goals Everything Bar Cleanser.

If not soap, then why soap-shaped?

Char Goals is a solid bar of non-soap cleansers derived from coconut and shea butter. Instead of diluting the cleansers in water to make a face wash, body wash, or shampoo, we mixed the cleansers into a solid base to form a bar. We did this to eliminate the plastic bottles required to hold liquid face wash or body wash. This also means the Char Goals Everything Bar Cleanser contains the same amount of active ingredients as multiple bottles of liquid cleanser. It lasts a long time and gives you a far better value for your money.

TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS

To increase product longevity: Allow the bar to fully dry between uses. We recommend a soap dish, soap lift, or a soap bag to keep the bar dry. Once most of the product has been used, the bar will break into smaller pieces - these pieces will still maintain the same cleansing and lathering power and work especially well for shaving, so be sure to keep using them!

Char Goals Activated Charcoal

Researched Antimicrobials

+Activated charcoal: The ingredient that gives our bar its deep grey color. It latches on to invading microbes, dirt, and grime without compromising the skin barrier. One study from NIH found that activated charcoal provided potent antiseptic action in wound dressings.

Repair and Restore the Skin Barrier

+Sodium cocoyl isethionate: A soap-free, pH balanced cleanser derived from coconuts. It has been proven to leave the skin barrier intact. This premium cleansing ingredient is far less disruptive to the skin than traditional soaps and body washes.

+Cranberry seed oil: Deeply restoring specialty oil, contains all eight forms of vitamin E, Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids, and is abundant in moisturizing antioxidants.

+Cetearyl alcohol: A moisturizing fatty acid base that leaves skin and hair feeling smooth.

Soothe redness and irritation

+Shea Butteramidopropyl Betaine: A secondary, pH balanced cleanser derived from shea butter. Soothes irritation from washing; moisturizes hair.

+Panthenol: A form of vitamin B5 that soothes skin, aids in wound healing, and adheres to the hair shaft to boost shine and moisture.

+Sodium Lactate: An important part of the skin’s natural moisturizing factor. Acts as a pH buffer to ensure the formula stays compatible with your skin.
